As a neurodivergent counsellor, I understand the unique obstacles neurodivergent folk encounter when navigating systems and the importance of discussing what it’s like when those systems do and do not meet our needs. These layers are complex. Our thoughts, emotions, sensory experiences, and strengths don’t exist in a vacuum; they’re deeply shaped by context, identity, relationships, and our access to support. Honouring these intersecting factors is an essential part of healing.

Whether I am holding space for an adult, child, or teen, I aim to understand you and your unique experience of the world – what’s working, and what feels stuck! Let’s make sense of your experiences, create safety around the thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations that get in the way, and find ways to move toward what really matters to you. Therapy with me is about identifying and connecting with your values in order to commit to meaningful change. This might look like reflective conversation, creative expression through art making, or mindfulness-based exploration with adults and teens, or expressive art and play therapy when working with children.

In a session with me you can expect a gentle rhythm. It’s okay to feel faster than you think – I have a sense of routine that will support us. We might start with a check-in, taking time to orient to the space and to each other. Together, we’ll decide on the focus of the session. From there, we will incorporate tools that fit – whether that’s talk therapy, arts-based approaches, or other forms of expression. Sometimes, our work will involve grounding in the present moment to build a stronger sense of internal safety. Other times, it will mean turning toward the tougher stuff: processing, making connections, and trying out new ways of thinking or responding to our environment. We’ll also make room to reflect on progress because the goal is to help you feel supported and understood while connecting with meaningful change. Let’s build a structure where you or your child can feel seen, supported, and ready to grow in ways that truly matter.
