At Sunward Journeys, we consider it the bare minimum to support diversity, equity, and inclusion within the Canadian medical system and are saddened that so many of us in the queer community have encountered experiences that lack these qualities. Luckily, the people at The Catherine White Holman Wellness Centre not only agree with us, but are pros at figuring out low-barrier ways of doing so! We are proud to announce that this year we have chosen The Catherine White Holman Centre to be the non-profit we donate 1% of our revenue to for the 2025 year.
Why The Catherine White Holman Centre
This wellness center is a great first stop for trans people navigating legal and medical systems here in Canada. Their mission is simple: to provide low-barrier and compassionate care to the queer community. They offer support in the legal name change process, hormone and surgical readiness assessments, connections with endocrinologists, and ADHD screenings to name a few.
Sunward Journeys is humbled by the centre’s ongoing efforts to support the trans community – a community that is personally very important to many of us on the team! We look forward to supporting their impactful work this year with our donation.
